Inventory (or assessment) is mandatory for all users of pollution sources (companies, organizations, farmers, etc.) who, carrying out economic activities, release pollutants into the ambient air (e.g., combustion installations, industrial processes, storage, use of solvents, etc.).
When should inventory be carried out?
After starting operation of a new device or part related to pollutant emissions into the air (within 1 year from commissioning).
Every 5 years (the inventory report is valid for 5 years).
When equipment or activity changes occur that may increase the impact on ambient air.
When changing raw materials, technologies, or production volumes.
Upon receiving instructions from authorities or when legislation changes.
Inventory Report:
Prepared according to the established structure: cover page, list of authors, table of contents, general information about the facility, appendices.
All sources of pollutant release and emissions are described, including their parameters, raw materials used, fuel types, technologies, and cleaning equipment.
The quantity of each pollutant (t/year), concentrations, emission duration, and cleaning efficiency are determined and presented.
Standardized tables are completed (pollutant sources, physical data, air pollution, cleaning equipment, material balance).
Data collection:
Instrumental measurements (if not possible – calculations according to approved methodologies).
All measurements must be performed in accredited laboratories or those authorized by the Environmental Protection Agency (AAA).
It is recommended to have a diagram of stationary pollution sources with numbering.
Report submission:
Submitted via IS “AIVIKS” or by email; if technical possibilities are lacking – on paper and digital media.
The report is valid for 5 years but must be updated if activity or equipment changes.
