Changes to maximum permissible noise limit values

From 2028 m. sausio 1 d., Lithuanian Hygiene Standard HN 33:2011 ‘Noise Limit Values in Residential and Public Buildings and Their Surroundings’ will change. It will be recast and renamed – Lithuanian Hygiene Standard HN 33:2026 ‘Noise Limit Values in Residential and Public Buildings and Their Surroundings’.

From 2028-01-01, the maximum permissible noise limit values will change (stricter standards will apply) in newly designed residential and public premises:

The standards set out below will apply to residential and public premises designed before 2028-01-01:

The maximum noise limit values at the façades of residential and public buildings, in children’s playgrounds and sports grounds belonging to those buildings, and in quiet recreational areas for older people and persons with disabilities will also change in relation to economic activity and new roads, railways, aerodromes and wind turbines for which engineering infrastructure planning commenced from 2028-01-01. The standards are specified in greater detail by noise source (the current 2 noise-source categories are expanded to 5 noise-source categories) and the applicable standards are clarified (the standards for residential receptors remain unchanged):

At the façades of residential and public buildings, in children’s playgrounds and sports grounds belonging to those buildings, and in quiet recreational areas for older people and persons with disabilities, the standards set out below will apply in relation to economic activity and new roads, railways, aerodromes and wind turbines for which engineering infrastructure planning commenced before 2028-01-01 :
