1. When planning a new activity or changing an existing one that may release chemical substances into the environment (industry, manufacturing, storage, waste management, incineration, etc.).
2. When it is necessary to assess, according to legal acts or permit requirements, whether the concentrations of pollutants emitted into the environment during the activity will exceed the limit values (LV) established in legal acts.
3. When preparing environmental impact assessment (EIA), public health impact assessment (PHIA) or pollution permit documents.
1. Before starting a new activity or construction that uses or emits chemical substances.
2. When changing an existing activity (increasing capacity, changing technology, using new raw materials or materials).
3. When institutions or the public require an assessment of the impact of chemical pollution.
4. When preparing EIA, PHIA documents or carrying out IPPC or Pollution permit obtaining procedures.
1. A chemical pollution impact assessment report is prepared, which:
1.1 Describes the planned or existing activity, raw materials used, and products manufactured.
1.2 Identifies and describes all possible sources of chemical pollution (equipment, processes, storage).
1.3 Calculations/modeling are performed according to applicable legal acts and methodologies (e.g., EMEP/EEA Air pollutant emission inventory guidebook).
1.4 Presents the amounts and concentrations of emitted pollutants, compared to limit values.
1.5 Specifies measures to reduce pollution if limit values are exceeded.
1.6 Provides conclusions on the compliance of the activity with legal acts and recommendations.
2. The report is used for:
2.1 Obtaining a permit for activity or construction.
2.2 EIA, PHIA or IPPC procedures.
2.3 In cases of disputes or public information.
